Happy Happy New Year

We say

When people are suffering

Every day

We see it all

Around us too

But what do we do

What do we do

What can we do

I sit and sigh

I’ll do something to help

I’ll try.  I’ll try

We can’t do everything

That is true

But little by little

There are things we can do

Even when we are

On the go

We can smile at a neighbor

And say, “Hello”
