Aunt Anne

Aunt Anne was a WWII Veteran

Mostly stationed in Paris too

Seeing children eating from garbage pails

Made her feel very blue

That was my Aunt Anne

She lived ½ year past 102

She told me lots about the family

Which I will relate to you

Aunt Anne never knew her mother

Her mother died in childbirth with her

The whole thing was very, very sad

She missed the mother she never had

I’ll be writing more and more

About the family that I adore
